Audition 2022

Professional dance artists can now apply for audition at Holstebro Dance Company for the season of 2022-2023.

Dates of audition: 27th  and 28th of February 2022.

Location of audition: 27th  of February 2022: Philip De Langes Allé 3, 1435 Copenhagen and 28th of February 2022: Den Røde Plads 16, 7500 Holstebro.

Deadline for application: 9th of January 2022.

All applicants will receive notice of invitation, waitlist, or decline by the 21st of January 2022.

Holstebro Dance Company is seeking professional dance artists

Get ready for dance audition at Holstebro Dance Company.

We are looking for passionate, versatile dance artists with a strong physicality, high level of technic and composition-improvisation skills, as well as an exceptional stage presence, artistry, and theatricality.

We greatly appreciate individuals who are dedicated, creative, curious, courageous, responsible, empathetic. In addition, we value good colleagues and people who enjoy artistic challenges, dynamic work process, and a variation in production types.

There are no specifications to gender or age, nor are there any requirements to amount of previous work experience. However, you must have completed your professional training upon start of contract.

Contract periods

25.07.2022 – 30.11.2022      &      16.1.2023 – 18.6.2023

This is a paid opportunity. Contracts includes salary in accordance with union regulation as well as pension, holiday pay, housing, and transportation.

Send application as an email to “audition@musikteatret.dk“.
The following three elements must be included:

  1. CV with a portrait picture (as PDF-file). This must include; full name, preferred pro-nouns, age, nationality, phone number, email, education, experience, and contact information to former employers or teachers.
  2. Direct streaming link to video/dance footage/showreels in mail. Please – no password, login, or downloads required. This will not be accepted. Video is preferably no longer than 3 minutes. (Make sure we can see you. Note that we will watch them in the order they are listed, and may only watch one if several are listed).
  3. Portrait picture as separate file (as pdf or jpg.-file).

Note:

The audition is by invitation only.

Those invited will all participate on Sunday the 27th of February 2022.

Hereafter, at the end of the day, a selection will be made for those continuing on to Monday the 28th of February 2022.

Transport to and accommodation in Holstebro will be provided, if continuing to the 28th of February 2022.

With a base in Holstebro, Denmark, Holstebro Dance Company puts the thoughts and feelings of today in motion. Through dance, we create moving and inspiring choreographic experiences and dance performances. 

The company aims to be relevant to our times in both choice of theme, approach, and practice.

The company is the third largest in Denmark and only one located outside the greater Copenhagen region.

Holstebro Dance Companuy consists of professional dance artists in the beginning of their careers who stay with company for approximately 2-3 years. 

We tour with a variety of performances, consisting of small, large, youth, adult, new creation, and repertoire pieces etc., both nationally and internationally.

Under the artistic direction of Marie Brolin-Tani and David Cornelius Price, the company has, since its birth in 2013, gained great momentum and success and is continuously expanding.

Previous and current choreographers include; Tim Rushton, Jason Mabana, Stephanie Thomasen, Ben Wright, Alessandro Sousa Pereira, Jung In Lee, Mari Carasco, Jacob Stage and Edhem Jesenkovic, Thomas Bentin etc.

In the coming season the company will among other be working with choreographers Dolly Sfeir and Gunilla Lind in a double bill based on the music by the artist Björk.

The company will also be working with Aarhus Theater for various productions.
