Join us for a dance concert when Pernille Rosendahl, the internationally recognized Holstebro Dance Company, and Aarhus Theatre collectively explore our national soul.
There is a lot of talk about the outskirts of Denmark. Dannevang has broken in half and been divided in country and city; people and elite.
With Vita Danica and Danish musical treasures, singer and composer Pernille Rosendahl, Aarhus Theatre, and Holstebro Danse Company encompass that which gathers the Danish people – in contrast to that which divides us.
Pernille Rosendahl, known from the successful band Swan Lee, X-Factor, and Toppen af Poppen has lately been touring and singing in churches throughout the nation. Here, she has experienced the community music can create and which lies deeply rooted in the Danish people.
With Vita Danica the collaboration between Pernille Rosendahl and Holstebro Dance Company continues, supervised by visionary, artistic leader and choreographer Marie Brolin-Tani.
Together they created the danse success “Elsker dig for evigt” in 2017, based on the movie by Susanne Bier.
With the Reumert-winning performance “Lyden af de skuldre vi står på”, Aarhus Theatre embarked on a picturesque journey into Danish musical treasures. Now, we will get a new experience with Pernille Rosendahl’s musical sincerity and the dancers’ bodily interpretations.
The award-winning Sargun Oshana sets the stage, architect and light designer Sarah Fredelund creates the universe, and the costumes are designed by the international fashion designer Mark Kenly Domino Tan.
The performance is produced by Holstebro Dansekompagni in collaboration with Aarhus Teater.
