Residency

Holstebro Dance Company wants to promote the effects of dance by creating choreographic performing arts, which invite the audience to highly topical experiences that put reflection and dialogue in motion. We are determined to support and encourage diverse and choreographic performing arts.

In order to accommodate this challenge and fulfill our ambitions about supporting and establishing continuous interactions with a wide and diverse choreographic field, as well as increasing our local audience’s knowledge about dance and choreographies, we have created and are contributing in three different Residency Programmes:

Bora Bora Residency Centre is an international residency center, based in Jutland Denmark, with a focus on artistic and economically sustainable production conditions and development,  for professional artists within the field of contemporary dance.

All Bora Bora residencies will take place at either Bora Bora or one of the international partners and Danish co-hosts of the project that counts both theaters, folk high schools, and other performing arts organizations.

The programme is open to professional dance artists for projects to be researched and/or developed. The residencies are open to professional dance artists, or dance ensembles, or stage directors with a strong choreographic idea from all over the world. It is possible for Danish or Danish-based artists to apply for consideration for our international residency programmes, which are based on exchanges with our Residency Centre partners.
